Formal meetings on cooperation in the field of health have taken place between the USHAŞ delegation who accompanied our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his official visit to Uzbekistan, and the bureaucrats of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Health and Child Assistance Fund. The discussions culminated with the signing of a cooperation agreement between USHAŞ and the Uzbekistan Child Assistance Fund for the treatment of Uzbek child patients in Türkiye.

Mücahit Sarıtaş, Chairman of the USHAŞ Board of Directors, commenting on the transformation that has taken place in the Turkish health system over the past 20 years, stated that Türkiye is the most advanced healthcare service provider in the world today, both in terms of its healthcare infrastructure and the qualifications of its physicians. Sarıtaş went on to say that the relationship between Türkiye and Uzbekistan is based on fraternity originating from the same culture, rather than just cooperation, and said: “Driven by the vision of the Heads of State of our two countries, our relationship is better than ever. We believe that any cooperation in the field of health is going to reinforce these ties. Any Uzbek citizens coming to Türkiye for their treatment may consider themselves in safe hands.”

Marat Sadıkov, General Manager of the Uzbekistan Child Assistance Fund, after signing the agreement on behalf of his institution, stated that they were fully aware of the strength of the Turkish healthcare sector and the competencies of Turkish physicians, having witnessed them first hand through the activities of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye in Uzbekistan. Sadıkov said: “We have great trust in Türkiye and Turkish physicians. Inshallah, this agreement marks a beginning, as our hope is to further our cooperation in every field.”

Under the agreement, children with severe illness sent to Türkiye by the Uzbekistan Child Assistance Fund will undergo treatment in Turkish healthcare facilities.
