UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: “USHAŞ IS A UNIQE EXAMPLE IN THE WORLD IN PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT”

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Istanbul International Center for Private Sector and Development (IICPSD) exemplified the role of USHAŞ as the fast supplier and distributor of personal protective products and its success in developing domestic diagnostic kits and respirators within the scope of struggling COVID-19.

The Covid-19 epidemic, which was declared a worldwide pandemicas of March 2020, started the national struggle period with the first case in our country on the same time . Also our company USHAŞ was assigned with the supply of personal protective equipment, which is a significant part of the process. Our working model became a research subject for UNDP, due to the contribution of the results of our performance in this task assigned to us both to our country and to various countries around the world.

Within the scope of the agreement of understanding (MOU) we signed with UNDP, the process was reported in all details in order to set an example for USHAŞ’s working model for the world countries.  An online meeting was organized with the presentations of Emine Alp Meşe, UN Deputy Secretary General – Director of UN Development Programme Policy and Program Support Bureau Haoliang Xu and General Manager of USHAŞ Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya. The critical role and support of USHAŞ in the struggle against pandemic was shared in Turkish, English languages with the world and open to the public within the launch day of the research paper.
