Within the scope of the event organized in Germany, face-to-face meetings were held with sector representatives not only from Germany but also from different geographies such as the Netherlands, Australia and the UK. During the meetings, cooperation opportunities between countries in the field of health tourism were discussed. While the high number of requests from the Netherlands was particularly noteworthy, it was observed that Australia has recently started to show interest in health tourism. In addition, contacts were established with various international media organizations, Türkiye’s health infrastructure and service quality were explained in detail and Türkiye was introduced as a destination for health tourism. The participants were informed about the vision of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye in this field and its goals for the coming period.
These contacts were carried out under the leadership of USHAŞ, which aims to reinforce Türkiye’s strength in international health services. During the bilateral meetings held during the event, Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, shared information about the transformation of Türkiye’s healthcare system, the importance given to patient satisfaction and the use of advanced technologies. In addition, Türkiye’s advantages for international patients with its 24/7 multilingual call center, accredited healthcare facilities and expert medical staff were highlighted.
USHAŞ aims to promote Türkiye’s health tourism vision on international platforms, to prepare the ground for new collaborations and to make Türkiye a global center in health.
