On April 26, in line with the newly published International Health Tourism Regulation, which made complication insurance mandatory for surgical procedures on health tourism patients, USHAŞ held a meeting with representatives from Türkiye Sigorta.
The coverage packages prepared by Türkiye Sigorta were thoroughly evaluated. It was discussed that USHAŞ, in cooperation with OHSAD and KHGM, would define the insurance standards and monitor the implementation process.
In addition to complication insurance, travel health insurance and cost overrun insurance were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to organize a workshop with the participation of insurance companies, OHSAD, and SASDER representatives to evaluate the topics discussed and to gather feedback from stakeholders.
