In the meeting held with the participation of Mr. Ali Kaan ORBAY, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Tbilisi, Mr. Ensar DOĞAN, Minister Counselor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye and Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, Türkiye’s activities in the field of health tourism and cooperation opportunities with Georgia were evaluated.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that USHAŞ operates under public guarantee on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, and the opportunities offered to international patients through the HealthTürkiye portal were explained in detail. It was stated that the portal provides services in English, Arabic, Russian and French, facilitates patient treatment processes and provides visa convenience.
During the meeting, increasing health tourism cooperation between Türkiye and Georgia, opening a USHAŞ office in Batumi and the strategic importance of this process were discussed. Mr. Ensar DOĞAN and Mr. Behlül ÜNVER emphasized that the Batumi office will play an important role in promoting health tourism. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to open a USHAŞ office in Batumi and to develop health tourism cooperation between the two countries.
